Through the pages of history. The rhythm of the construction crew summer!

Having appeared in the 1920s, construction crews became popular in the USSR. Construction crew students are the most restless and indefatigable tribe of young romantics of the 20th century. Just starting to live, they were already striving to prove how much they could do with their own hands, and, with a backpack and a guitar, they went to the taiga, to virgin lands, to other uninhabited places to lay roads and power lines, erect housing, build new enterprises, harvest crops. They always found themselves where it was difficult, where strong hands and the enthusiasm of youth were most needed. And it is no coincidence that the construction squad movement has become one of the brightest pages in the history of students, outlived its creators and stepped into the XXI century.Construction teams were formed on the bases of universities. For many students, it was not only an opportunity to earn good money, but also to ride for free around the country.

What are the construction teams of today? Modern student groups are organizations whose main purpose is to help students find official employment in the summer. Thereby helping domestic employers to fill in the missing staff during the vacation period, and students to gain experience and try themselves in different areas of work.


In the University headquarters of the student detachments of SibSMU, there are detachments in four directions: medical, agricultural, pedagogical and service.
In the squad, the student has the opportunity to get valuable acquaintances, try his hand and develop his skills in creativity and sports, add atmospheric squad evenings with songs around the campfire to his memories and, of course, leave together for the work season.

The history of the Student Agricultural Detachment (SShO)“Horse” SibSMU began on May 1, 2017, and has already had 5 summer working seasons!
SShO “Horse” is a part of the Youth All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Student Detachments”!
Her task – not only to employ students for the summer period, but also to give them the best youth, full of bright events, unforgettable emotions, true friendship, love, creativity and personal growth!
The squad specializes in various types of agricultural work: picking peaches, apricots, grapes, processing vineyards and much more!

SPO “Capella” The first pedagogical department of SibSMU. Date of creation – April 7, 2018
Students work as counselors in summer camps with children. They find new friends, have fun and spend their summer holidays usefully.

The student service group “Cascade” was founded on September 10, 2019.
What is a service unit? This is a job in the hospitality industry.

Students work as waiters, bartenders,

kitchen workers, lifeguards, hostesses, maids, doormen, gardeners and more.
They actively spend time together in the off-season. They participate in various events and competitions.
