Registration

A library card is the only document granting the right to use the library.

Permanent reader’s ticket

Employees, residents, postgraduates / doctoral students of SibSMU issue a permanent reader’s ticket on the subscription of scientific literature (107 Lenin Ave.), on the basis of a passport, a pass, a resident’s certificate..

Students of all forms of education — on a subscription of educational literature (Moskovsky Tract, 2/7) upon presentation of a student ID card, passport.

Students and employees of NEITHER TSU nor TPU are issued a library card within the University campus upon presentation of a passport, student ID, a pass confirming affiliation to the university.

Temporary library card

A temporary (for 1 month, for 1 day) reader’s ticket is issued to third-party users for service in the reading room on the basis of an identity document (passport, driver’s license, student ID, military ID).

Cadets of the FPC issue a reader’s ticket for a subscription of scientific literature (107 Lenin Ave.) for the duration of the training cycle. It is necessary to present the cadet’s ticket and passport.

Record online

Online entry to the library is valid only for SibSMU employees.
On the library’s website, in the tab “Online library entry” it is necessary to fill in all fields in the registration card, indicate consent to the processing of personal data and click “Sign up”.

Registration in the reader database is carried out within 2 days.

Literature output

Subscriptions

Educational literature is issued:

– employees of the departments of SibSMU for 1 academic year,

– junior students – for 1 academic year or semester.

– senior students – for 1 academic cycle

Deadlines for the return of educational literature: February 1 (fall semester) and July 15 (spring semester)

On the subscription of scientific literature, documents from the fund are issued for a period of 14 days to 2 months.

Small-scale literature is issued for a night subscription secured by a reader’s ticket.

Readers can extend the period of use of books on subscriptions if there is no demand for them from other readers.

Are not issued at home: the only copies of any documents, magazines from the book storage and from the open access reading room of periodicals, dissertations, abstracts, encyclopedias, literature obtained by interlibrary subscription, rare stock materials and book monuments.

Round-the-clock reading room

The reading room of the BIC at Moskovsky tr. 2/7, ULK, block A, is open around the clock seven days a week. During the summer holidays, the KCHZ operates according to the summer schedule.

During daytime hours, librarians-consultants work in the KCHZ, service for all users is organized. To work with documents from the NMB fund at night it is necessary to receive them in advance.

Service in reading rooms during daytime hours is provided upon presentation of a reader’s ticket, at night a valid student ID card is additionally presented to the reader’s ticket.

Upon graduation or upon dismissal, the reader must submit to the library all the publications listed for him. The reader’s ticket is cancelled in this case.

Compensation for damages

Readers who have delayed literature from the library fund beyond the deadline pay a fine for each day of delay:

– Subscription of educational/ scientific literature: 1.5 rubles/day per book

– Night subscription: 10 rubles/day for a book.

Documents that are issued to the reader for temporary use are provided with RFID tags. The penalty for damage or absence of an RFID tag in the book is 100 rubles.

Compensation by readers of lost or damaged books is allowed in the form of replacing a lost document with an equivalent publication or by monetary compensation.

Making a duplicate of a reader’s ticket when it is lost – 150 rubles.

The penalty for the loss of a reader’s ticket without restoration is 120 rubles.
